Token Types

This protocol will have two different types of tokens.

MAYZ Token

MAYZ token is the protocol governance token, like MKR is the governance token of MakerDAO.

Gradually MAYZ holders will govern the MAYZ Protocol, which includes adjusting policy for creating new Index tokens, choosing new networks to allocate assets, and improving governance itself. Anyone can be a MAYZ holder, and all are welcome to come to join us in shaping the future of Defi cross-chain solutions.

Index Token

Index tokens are Liquidity Provider Token (LPT) minted by the smart contract that hold the corresponding portfolio of asset. MAYZ will provide the infrastructure to allow the community to offer different indexing financial products. Cardano Index token is only the first one.

These tokens will be financial assets whose value will depend on the price of the basket of assets that collateralized it.
